F.A.Q. – Laser Tattoo Removal
Q. How many treatments will I need?
A. The number of treatments needed varies depending on the individual and their tattoos, it typically takes 8-12 laser treatments to remove a tattoo. A minimum of 3 to 6 treatments is recommended to see significant fading and clearance.
Q. How long does it take between treatments?
A. It is recommended to have a gap of 6-weeks between treatments to allow the skin to heal and your body to flush the broken down ink.
Q. Is Laser tattoo removal painful?
A. Pain is subjective and varies from person to person. The pain associated with the laser light treatment is similar to an elastic rubber band hitting the skin.
Q. What to do before treatment?
A. Avoid solariums or any form of tanning including lotions. Keep your tattoo from sun exposure.
Q. What to expect during treatment?
A. The procedure is similar to getting your tattoo but a lot faster, non-invasive and less painful. Our PicoSecond Laser uses ultra-short pulses with great pressure to hit and shatters the ink into tiny dust-like particles making them readily absorbed and eliminated by the body.
Q. What to do after treatment?
A. It is normal to experience inflammation of the skin, redness, swelling, crusting and occasional blistering. The skin may bleed or swell, these reactions typically lasts a few days and is helped by topical ointment and gentle washing.
